your soul is able, death is all you cradle. sleeping on the nails
there's nowhere left to fall. there is no peace here, war is never
cheap here. love will never meet it, it just gets sold for parts.
you cannot fight it, all the world denies it. open up your eyelids
and let your demons run.

on candystripe legs the spiderman comes, looking for the victim
shivering in bed. searching out fear in the gathering gloom and
suddenly! a movement in the corner of the room! and there is nothing
i can do when i realise with fright that the spiderman is having me for
dinner tonight. and i know that in the morning i will wake up in
the shivering cold, and the spiderman is always hungry.

o4oo. electric president, nightmare no. 5 or 6
woke up cold and the room was dark, just some light from the moon.
felt your breath on my neck and it made me homesick. i don't mind
if it's all in my head, my mind was built for lies, and your laugh
sounds like glass it cuts right through me. you want to prove you're
the tough kind but no one asks to be a martyr, it just happens to you.
dreaming is not a one way process.

bring along your tricks and trade. we will lie here, here we lay,

the empty caskets and leave you with your tears. and now we take more

what is this i feel, why is it so real. what am i to say. it's only love,

things you can't explain that make us human. where do i begin, can i shed
this skin. back to the beginning, there's one way back to home again.

a/n: after watching this lovely little fanvideo, i wanted to make a sledge!centric mix that focuses on the war & it's aftereffects on the soldiers who served in it. and thus, this mini-mix was born.
