oo1o. everybody || v v brown
don't you think it's funny how we're different but yet we're all the same. running from
our similarities as if we're on a speeding train. maybe you are thinking you are an
alien coming from outer space. everybody needs love in their life. can't we see the
beauty in the difference? maybe it we took a look and listened good we'd know what do.
everybody needs love in their life!

oo2o. she's a genius || jet
my girl's ready to take control, she just blows my mind. she only listens to the radio
to see who's alive. you don't need an education to know the class you're in, they said
"hey girl, tell me what do you do?" she said, "nothing, but i'm damn sure it's more
than you." that girl's a genius, whoa oh oh. i think she's serious, whoa.

sing, sing a song. sing out loud, sing out strong. sing of good things not bad, sing of
happy not sad. sing, sing a song. make it simple to last your whole life, just sing,

in your message you said you were going to bed but i'm not done with the night. so i
stayed up and read, got me mixed up so i turned out the light. and i don't know how, to
slow it down. my mind's racing from chasing pirates. and i try not to dream, but them
possible schemes swim around, wanna drown me in synch. my mind's racing from chasing

a/n:an uhura!centric mix for juliet42 through help_japan. it focuses a bit on the tolls of being in the starfleet, going on long missions and the perils that go hand in hand with this, and how this affects the crew/uhura. but it also touches on her own strength of character, her love of music, and the loving & competent woman she is, who believes in the starfleet's mission and unity & peace between all sentient beings. i really wanted the mix to musically/vocally sound like her, and i think it does. ♥
